Help for Today: Race Well
Text: Hebrews 12:1-2

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” What are the chances of seeing your favorite basketball team wearing ice skates on the court? Not very good! Do you think Olympic swimmers will wear combat boots in the pool? I doubt it! Those involved in athletic competition understand you clothe and prepare yourself to compete at your highest level. You are not looking for hindrances. Your life is compared to a race. Remove those things that will hinder your efforts. Run your best. Race well!

All the best and I hope this gives you “Help for Today”.
